The user was not able to play the demo and the demo was automatically disabled by the glitch. The hacked version of Far Cry 4 was released on the day of release date with the option to bypass the game's trial period as decided by the gamer's pre-order status, rather than waiting the trial period itself based on the mail orders placed by gamers before the game’s release date. The game was released on day 1 without a demo mode, its online functionality had also been disabled, making the game practically unplayable. On the day due to the heavy piracy traffic on the internet, the game store was crashed and could not be sold to customers either.
